Daniel A. Martin, DMD, was born and raised in El Dorado Hills, California. He was drawn to the specialty of oral and maxillofacial surgery because of its considerable power to help people and the oral surgeon’s ability to utilize anesthesia options in practice. Dr. Martin is passionate about helping his patients get out of pain while providing lasting results so that people can enjoy improved versions of themselves.
He would like his Placer Oral & Dental Implant Surgery patients to know that we work hard to treat every patient like family at our welcoming practice and will give them all the time and information they need to make the best decision about their treatment. It is our aim to work closely with patients so that they receive the best possible results. Currently, Dr. Martin provides a full range of oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures with emphasis on the surgical removal of wisdom teeth, dental implant placement, bone grafting, intravenous and general anesthesia, facial trauma, and reconstructive surgery.
Dr. Martin attended Brigham Young University, graduating magna cum laude and receiving a Bachelor of Arts in Korean. Following his undergraduate studies, he also graduated magna cum laude from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas School of Dental Medicine, where he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD). Continuing on to pursue his passion, he completed a one-year internship and a four-year postgraduate residency in oral and maxillofacial surgery. He completed his internship training at the University of Illinois, Chicago, and his residency at Emory University and affiliated hospitals in Atlanta, Georgia. During his training, he was exposed to a wide variety of procedures in oral and maxillofacial surgery and is trained in the most advanced surgical techniques, including image-guided surgery and virtual surgical planning.
Dr. Martin is a member of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons, The California Society of Oral and Facial Surgeons, American Dental Society of Anesthesiology, California Dental Society of Anesthesiology, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, and The Sacramento Dental Society.
He is trained in Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), and has his California General Anesthesia license.
Dr. Martin, his wife, and four children, love to be a part of the community where Dr. Martin grew up, and enjoy spending time outdoors together and with friends, golfing, boating, and fishing.
